  • What SSC CGL?

    SSC CGL stands for Staff selection commission organize the combined Graduate Level exam, which consist three different stages of selection process Tier I , Tier II, Tier III.

    SSC CGL Application Form 2016 :-

    The online exam for the SSC CGL can be found on the website SSConline as well as on SSCregistration. The Direct links can also be found here.  The important points for SSC CGL online application can be found below:-

    • The common fee for the SSC CGL 2016 is 100/-. Where as the Female candidates SC / ST candidates, Physically handicapped candidates, Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying any fees.
    • The application fee can be paid though challan, net banking, credit card, debit card.
    • The candidates which are eligible can fill the application forms.
    • If any candidates who are eligible for claiming reservation , will have to provide the proofs after the Tier-1 Examination.
    • The candidates will have to upload there Photo as well as signature.
    • Signature should be between 1 to 12 KB, of size 140 x 60 pixels.
    • Candidate should carefully fill in correct and verifiable details only in the application form of SSC CGL 2016.

    SCC CGL Exam Pattern:- 

    Exam Pattern For Tier 1

    Part Subject Marks
    A General intelligence and reasoning 50
    B General awareness 50
    C Quantitative aptitude 50
    D English comprehension 50

    There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In respect of TierII, the negative marking system will remain unchanged.

    Exam Pattern For Tier 2

    IV General studies (finance and economics) 200
    III Statistics 200
    II Quantitative abilities 200
    I English language and comprehension 200

    For Paper II i.e, {English language and comprehension} negative marking of .025 & For Paper III {Statistics} .050 negative marking. 

    In addition to above, the Commission has also decided to introduce a Descriptive Paper of English/Hindi as Tier-III. The Question Paper will be bilingual.

    Latest Notification Regarding SSC CGL 2016 :- 

    The final merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.
