The Result will comprise of the marks secured by the candidate, in each section, and in totality. However, the marks of Paper 1 and Paper 2 will not be given separately. Instead, the marks of the candidates in Physics will be the sum of marks secured by them in the Physics section of Paper 1 and Paper 2. JEE Advanced 2018 Rank

Another aspect of JEE Advanced result is the rank. It will be determined on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by the candidate. However, only those candidates will be included in the rank list who will secure marks up to, or more than, the minimum prescribed marks in each section and overall. So basically this means that if the candidates fail to cross the cutoff limit, in any of the sections or overall, he/ she will not be considered for allocating the rank.

Note: Candidates who will secure a position in the merit list of more than one category will be considered for all the categories to which he/ she belong to, for the purpose of ranking.

     JEE Advanced Counselling 2018

Once JEE Advanced result will be released, qualified candidates must gear up for the counseling round. Last year, JAB collaborated with CSAB to form Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) Body. JoSAA conducted a common counseling for the exams of JEE. The counselling was held in online mode, to allocate the seats in IITs, ISM, IIITs, NITs and Other GFTIs. The JEE Advanced counselling started in 2nd week of July. It is expected that even this year same procedure of counselling will be implemented by the two bodies.
