Goa CET 2018 Complete Exam Details

The Directorate of Technical Education, Goa, will conduct the GOA-CET exam in 2nd week of May 2018. The candidates can apply for the GCET 2018 online.  The candidates qualified will get the admission in various engineering courses of affiliated  colleges of Goa.Candidates should  fulfil  Goa CET eligibility criteria to qualify in the exam. The candidates can follow the important detail mentioned below like application form procedure, eligibility criteria, important dates, exam pattern, results, admit card and more on Goa CET (GCET) 2018.

Important Points for Goa CET Exam :-

  • There will be 15 centres in the state for Goa Common Entrance Test.
  • The candidates must download & print  as well as submit the Goa CET application forms before last date.
  • The applicants must ensure the validity of Demand Draft for 3 months from the date of CET form fill up.
  • The candidates must get cut off in GCET 2018  & must fulfil the Goa eligibility criteria for admission.
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the GCET 2018 score obtained in Physics and Mathematics.

Admissions to MBBS & BDS Courses shall be based on NEET(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) to be conducted by CBSE and eligibility criteria prescribed by MCI AND DCI

    Admissions to B.E., B.Pharm, BHMS, BAMS, Allied Health Sciences, & B.Sc. in Nursing courses in the State of Goa for the academic year 2018-19 shall be carried out on basis of GCET- 2018,(Goa Common Entrance Test),which shall be conducted in various Centres, across Goa State, in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry , Maths and Biology, based on Std. XII th syllabus prescribed in these subjects by Goa Board, for March- 2018 exam as per following schedule

    Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam(Std. XII th /HSSC.)

    In the event, Hon’ble Supreme Court, MHRD, MCI, AICTE or any other regulatory body, issues mandatory provisions regarding admissions to any of the above Professional Courses, and makes it compulsorily applicable for admissions to the above courses, for year 2018, the above notified admission norms would be reviewed and revised appropriately, with Government approval, and duly notified.

    Each paper shall consist of 75 (Seventy Five) questions, of one mark each, to be answered in two hours, with no negative marking.

    Goa CET 2018 Application Form :-

    To appear in the examination candidates must fill up the Application Form are divided into Form A should be filled at the time of registration and Form B should be filled in during the admission process.

    • Now before filling the application form students are requested to read the instructions given
    • Fill up application Form A by downloading it in A4 size paper & print it.
    • Affix passport size photograph and fill in the personal details and educational details.
    • Candidate must prepare a Demand Draft of Rs 1500/- and send it to Director of Technical Education payable at Panaji on any scheduled bank.
    • Candidates are allowed to only may through DD and not via any other means
    • Candidate must submit the application form with passport size photograph to the above-mentioned address.
    • Applicants are advised to keep a photocopy of the submitted form and payment slips for further use.

    Goa CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates must fulfil the eligibility conditions in order to qualify in the GCET 2018 for Bachelor in engineering courses. Below are the norms that the candidates must note before applying for the exam.

    • Candidate should be Indian National.
    • The Age limit is not provided by Goa CET 2018.
    •  Applicants should pass 12th standard in order to appear in the entrance exam.
    • Candidates should pass from recognised Central/ State Board for 12th.
    • Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry should be compulsory subjects and  Chemistry/Biology/Bio technology/Computer Science must be one of the optional subjects to appear in exam.
    • Minimum qualification percentage is 45% for General and 40% marks for reserved categories students such as ST, SC and OBC etc./
    • Diploma in course from Central Board Education or State Education Board  with a minimum of 50% / Diploma in International Baccalaureate with 50% marks and Maths as a compulsory subject.
    • If in any case candidates fills up application form and discovered as Ineligible then Goa-CET 2018 conducting body can cancel/reject the application without giving any prior notice to the candidates.
    • The candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling up Application form of Goa CET 2018.

    Goa CET 2018 Admit Card

    The admit card for GCET 2018 will be available only in offline mode. They will receive it only if they have successfully submitted the Application Form. Candidates have to be present in person to get the admit card as per date given. They cannot download the admit card from any website and it will not be sent via post/email/fax.

    The Goa CET 2018 Admit Card will contain

    • Exam Roll Number
    • Exam Centre and Date of examination
    • Name of the candidate
    • Date of Birth
    • Photograph of the candidate

    Goa CET 2018 Result

    • The result of Goa CET 2018 will be announced on 3rd week of May, 2018.
    • The result will be based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam.
    • The Merit list will be prepared for the qualifying candidates in the exam.
    • After the result candidates will be called for counselling/admission process.
